John Muir Language Academy

Visual Asylum partnered with Domus Studio and SDUSD Facilities leadership to transform an existing school campus through strategic, integrated environmental graphic design. The project blended enhancements to existing structures with newly constructed buildings, creating a cohesive and engaging educational environment.

The comprehensive design program included custom-themed banners (featuring both printed graphics and water-jet cut organic elements), campus wayfinding signage, placemaking graphics, lunch shelter column wraps, large-scale murals, building identification signage, interior dimensional wall graphics, and fully compliant custom ADA signage. Together, these elements elevate campus identity, improve navigation, and create a vibrant, student-centered experience.
